Artist's Comments

I took this photograph on a reasonably long exposure and decided to sharply the move the camera a couple of times. As for the time of the photograph, I couldn't sleep so decided to go for a walk and couldn't resist the opportunity that presented itself.

One thing I do like about this shot is the way that the trail of white light looks almost like a cardiograph reading. Unfortunately, as you can see from various places in the shot, the lens was dirty, which stands out significantly in pictures like this.

As per usual, I have performed no processing on this image, other than a resize.

Cool...looks kinda like an oscilliscope (esp. the bright white light)

:+fav: I love it :) Ok, I know I can't get away with just saying that, so I shall have to disect it for you, right? :P I think my first question would be... why were you standing in the middle of the road? I do love the cardiograph line, I'll assume that was a car going past you, which makes the photo seem sort of 3D. And if we're to be all theoretical, maybe the pulse line represents the fact the car was speeding at you, or at least appeared that way? ;) It just generally looks good, can I use it pleeeeease? :D Nah, it's art in its own right anyway.

Thank you for both your comment and the :+fav: :)

Why was I standing in the middle of the road: Weeeeeell, I just couldn't resist the opportunity ;) I saw the lorries coming down the road, and thought "Ahh, why not!". That was a lorry, though not a car :P (I'll duck now.)

I think your reasoning to the pulse line is fairly accurate, it does feel like that. And as for using it... of course you can. :)
